Going on Hiatus

HELLO HELLO HELLO!!  HAPPY MONDAY & HAPPY 1ST DAY OF SUMMER!!  Thanks for joining me today, for what will be my last posting here at Ain’t That Artsy Fartsy, at least for a little while 😉

I’m taking an indefinite break from blogland and have already reduced my overall computer use by about 80%, and it feels GREAT!!!  So, don’t worry that you haven’t seen me visiting your blogs like I used to–It’s not you, It’s ME!!

Happily, I’m concentrating on commissioned work I’ve received and I’m also kicking around the idea of opening my own Etsy shop….heavily contemplating that one–will keep ya’ll posted if that comes to fruition 🙂

While on hiatus, Ain’t That Artsy Fartsy will be in a state of active suspension-I’m keeping all of the pages herein live and active so all of the links to & fro will continue to work, so, feel free to check out past posts because you never know where that twinge of inspiration might come from! 🙂

I’ll depart for now and wish you all a WONDERFUL SUMMER!

Until next time–Stay Artsy Fartsy!!

How Much Do You Love Us?

Happy Monday!!  I’m here today to announce our week long Valentine’s Day event at the Lost Coast Portal to Creativity.  I know–taking a whole week to celebrate one day?  Well, of course!!  Love should be celebrated every day, but that could just be me! 😉 🙂

Anyhooo–What’s going on, you ask?  Beginning today, us LCDesigners, will share a daily project over at The Portal to get you in the mood to create your own amorous creations.
Please Note:  Heart or Valentine specific imagery is not required for this event, but if you have them then of course use them!  We want you to get creative and make any of our LCD/CV stamps work by clever use of colour, embellishments, die cuts, etc.

 Fan Participation:
This event requires fans of LCD/CV to write a mini review at The Portal and tell us what you love about our stamps and our blog activities, on your personal blogs and then share with us via the Inlinkz link-up.
One fan will win a $10 gift certificate.

I’ll be back on Wednesday with my Valentine’s Day Blog Hop creation, so until then—

Stay Artsy Fartsy!!

Edgar Allan Poe Appreciation Day Blog Hop

HI THERE & HAPPY EDGAR ALLAN POE APPRECIATION DAY!!  On this day, the day of Mr. Poe’s birth and his 207th birthday, the town of his birth, Baltimore, has officially declared today Edgar Allan Poe Appreciation Day.  To show our own appreciation for the American Goth-Father, we are having an impromptu blog hop at the Lost Coast Portal to Creativity!!

As this is a spur-of-the-moment, celebratory kind of Blog Hop, it’s going to be progressive and this one and only time, you can share previously made Poe projects.  For all of the details, head on over to the LC Portal of Creativity and read how to participate.

As I’m on the LCD/CV DT, I can’t participate in the hop, per se, but I do plan on making something just for the occasion to share here-Stay tuned for that!  In the meantime, I’ll leave you with a few of my previous Poe projects to get you in the mood…

Feeling Themeless and a Touch of Fate

Hi There!!  Happy Monday!!  I’m here today, just to share a little personal happiness!!  Nothing too big, but a huge thrill to me–I’m starting my 2016 creative year with being published in the Winter Edition of The Stamper’s Sampler!! 🙂 🙂

Just a WOW! feeling!!  That’s about the best way I can sum it up!!  Super Duper Happy!!  I’ve got not just one card featured, but TWO in their ‘Feeling Themeless’ section of their magazine.

Now, you may say to yourself–I don’t see Shari’s name here.  Well, yes, that’s correct.  Unfortunately, an error was made in crediting the ‘Poe’ card to me, but that’s just what happens in publishing sometimes.  But, this is also a card that I shared here at my blog way back in 2013–

August One Pics 026

—I made a trio of, kind of, clean & simple Poe cards, and shared in my blog post “Poe, Poe, Poe”.

Another card featured in the Feeling Themeless section is–

—Georges and Louis….

Card Inventory 195

This is another card that I shared here at Ain’t That Artsy Fartsy back in 2013, during my first several months in blogland–“Thursday Love-A Boy & His Dog”   With this card–I’m using stamp images from 2 rubber stamp companies, Artistic Outpost & Lost Coast Designs, whose Design Teams I’m now on!!!  Who would have guessed, that almost 3 years after starting my blog and sharing the things that I create,  that I would end up creating for 2 rubber art stamp company’s design teams?  Talk about a touch of fate!  It’s one of those WOW! moments again, for sure!!

I hope to share more instances of WOW! with you throughout 2016!!  Thanks so much for stopping by today!!

Until next time–Stay Artsy Fartsy!!
